Values and Beliefs

We tend to forget our values and beliefs...
The very core of our being,
We have them since long ago...
We carry them as we proceed and grow.

They stay in the depths of our souls...

Striking us wherever we go,
But the only thing to feel bad about is this...
That we tend to forget our values and beliefs.

When the sun is shining...

NIRC CHANDIGARH GMCS DAYS

This is an instance of one of my GMCS days where a group of 4-5 students was assigned some lines to make a story out of it in 10 minutes by another like group. My group was assigned the following lines:
"When the sun is shining, I can do anything, no mountain is too high, no trouble too difficult to overcome."
As I am fond of reading and writing, I just started writing while discussing with other group people. I wrote as follows:
Mihika is a sweet little girl of merely 13 years. Though she belongs to a middle-class family, what is noticeable about her is her keenness, her promptness into almost everything. Being so enthusiastic, she has a belief that she can do anything.
It was her another usual day, sitting on her bed, she was reading a book given by her father. "When the sun.....overcome" was written on the front page of the book.
What is this? It is not true! I can do anything, Yes I can but not only when the sun is shining, but also when the sun sets; when the moon shines in the dark sky; when the trees sway in the wind; when the breeze touches the matter and many other instances.
And she closed the book. She picked her own dairy and started writing. She wrote about her goals, her difficulties and how she is going to turn those difficulties into opportunities. After an hour or so, she was done; done thinking and writing. After taking a nap, what she realized was that it is only because of that quote that she could know herself better; for every situation, every moment makes you learn something. It all depends upon your perception, how you make something good out of everything, anything!

Love

and then she was asked a strange question...
"What is Love?

- Love is a holy grail of pureness, faithfulness coupled with endurance."

she replied.

The Day I Met KALAM

And it was a day…
I wished to do something different,

I wished to get all busy...
Busy in helping others,

And so I stood up and started my search…
of finding some means,
only to begin with my work.

Initially I wasn’t aware,
 of the situations so prevailing…
it was then I got to know...
about this initiative -
- revolutionary and so dedicated.

Being known as “KALAM”…
it provided me a standum
widened my view…
given me a new perception.

To look deep into the present sites,
and to provide some of my meagre time…
contributing towards some social cause,
Proceeding my life with some liberal goal.

Being part of this prominent team,
what I got to know was the-
- miserable sight
-a disgraceful sight...
Where you’ll see these adorable kids,
working day and night...
Asking for alms
yet dying inside.

But what are they dying for?
Has anyone thought for a while?
Let me tell you people…
make you aware of their distressing sight.

These kids remain quiet…
all involved among themselves,
they have no means to study…
or to ask for any help.

If you look into their eyes…
you can find a hidden light,
- A lost smile,
Lost long ago…
so that no one can know,
know of their core being…
their zeal within.

This all I discovered…
only because of “KALAM”
A social initiative…
which strives for empowering children
and always ready to stand up.

Standing up for their rights
- Bringing Smiles
- Nurturing Minds
and Improving Lives.

And in this process of improvement…
what I observed in myself,
was a changed person…
a person more concerned,
- more active & more governed.

Though it’s been very short time…
since I met with this driven team,
yet I must say that…
this platform has given me my cause to live.

Deep Inside

When its the same person whom you love the most and hate the most,
When inside you - there's both hurricane rising and serenity prevails -
Like the waves of the ocean;
The light that let you feel all the pleasures but concurrently the sparks of it burns you,
And spares you with the blemishes of love and war,
With a constant struggle between your heart and mind;
The brain symbolising all the riches,
And feminism providing you with the mystery which even the heart can't find a way out,
And while all this continues..
Making the soul more vigilant and earthy - phenomenally!

These 15 Days...

Finally the day has arrived,
And I have to bid goodbye,

Though I can't express in words..
But this is what I have tried,

The very first day I wished..
To meet some people all anew,

To learn those things I once knew..
To recall what I have been into,

All my life..all this while..
- Into something of tremendous value..
Something which makes you more..
- More distinguished, more relative
..And
More Grandeur..

These 15 days of my life..
Were the most astonished moments,

They changed me upside down..
And made me more focused,

These lovely friends of mine..
Made me stronger each day,
Given me unforgettable memories..
And always kept me jolly and gay,

Each person I met..
Each member I got to knew,

Given me a direction -
To think all anew,

- to think in a better way,
- to think in a different way..
- to always remain gleeful..
- to always remain cheerful,

- to work upon my strengths..
- to re-visit my goals..
So that I can..
Play my role,

- fulfilling my dreams..
making this profession..
- a total adventurous stream,
Where...

One gets a chance,
To meet one's other side..
Side total opposite,
- making a person..
More perceptive.. more lively..
And .. more prospective.

I don't know what gonna do..
without you all people,

You so damn good people..
Who somehow,
- Defined me..
- Inspired me..
- Made me smiled wide..

Given me my lovely life..
- Life to live in a splendid way..
- In an all pleasant way.

I thank all who are present here..
Thank you for these 15 days,

For these given me my lifelong friends..
Given me my best of days.
